Introduction Missions of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Program Office 　 Coordinate with related agencies to select key projects and development plans in the areas of biotechnology, Western medicine, herbal medicine, medical devices and healthcare. 　 Coordinate with related ministries to establish a well-developed biotechnology and pharmaceutical R&D infrastructure. 　 Guide related ministries to improve Taiwan's biotechnology and pharmaceutical investment development environment. 　 Coordinate with related ministries, research institutions, academia, public and private enterprises in the strategic development and planning of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and transfer R&D results to industry. 　 Coordinate with related ministries to amend and legislate development laws and regulations for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. 　 Promote international alliances and investments in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Guide and assist foreign and domestic enterprises to base their R&D, manufacturing and operation centers in Taiwan. 　 Handle related business of the One-Stop-Service Office for the Biotechnology Industry and assist in strengthening promotion work for the biotechnology industry. 　 Promote other major tasks related to the development of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
