Mr. Ref now is the director of Economic Affairs at
Israel Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei. He
was the assistant to the director of the Foreign
Trade Administration and Head of Branch of Middle
East and North Africa Division. Given his many years
of trade and investment experience, he will provide
a general introduction of Life Science Industry in
Israel. |

Ms.
Friedman Shosh joined Given Imaging as Vice
President, Regulatory & Medical Affairs on January
2002. Ms. Friedman has been a member of the company
Advisory Board since June 1997 and, as the company
consultant, led the activities for getting marketing
authorization worldwide (FDA clearance, CE-mark,
Canadian License, Australian Listing).
Prior to joining Given Imaging, from 1996 to 2002,
Ms. Friedman served as the Managing Director of
Push-med Ltd., a regulatory consulting firm that she
founded, which provides regulatory services to
medical device and biotechnology companies. In this
seminar, Ms. Friedman will talk about the successful
story of Given Imaging, and give an insight into
Biotechnology Industry in Israel. |
